Statues
Some are standing,
Some are sitting,
Some will be riding
A horse or ponny.
Some will be frightening,
Others funny.
Some even posing, like a model
But they have no knowledge.
They are made by sculptors
From concrete, stone or mud.
Anywhere you go, you see
One, two or more.
In some churches,
Along the roads,
Even in some houses
And tourist centres.
Even in my school,
There is this statue
Of late Mr. Platue.
It's always smiling
As if it's living.
It doesn't laugh
Even when we are joking.
Stone him with a pebble
He won't grumble.
Day and night,
Always in the open.
Rainy or sunny,
It takes no cover
Because it is a statue.
