May your road be rough

That prayer that is
Best for my enemy alone is,
"May your road be rough."
He will say amen
For the Lord is by my side
And his road will be rough
To catch up with me
He has to be tough
But that can never be
Since my road is smooth
And my car is good
Even if I'm slow
His car would have stopped
'Cause his road is rough.

Nonsense Land

I landed on an hamlet
With abundant huts here and there,
Abnormally built huts too.
Half sand, half mud,
Half paper, stone and rod;
So the huts were made.

The narrow linking tracks
Were filled with filth and junk.
Yet they have a king,
His palace differs not from other huts
Apart from a unique entrance
With nothing safe a stone.

Happiness and Joy

There are feelings
That aren't like seedlings
In a peaceful mind
But, trunk as tall as pine,
Happiness and joy they are.

A search for happiness
Like a toy for joy,
The more wearied you are
The more the search,
'Cause they are a must to have.

A happy woman abides
In a joyful man's home
And there there is love
In as many rooms
To keep off all doom.

Happiness and joy,
Not only synonyms
But escorts and friends too.
You ask for one, you receive the two.
'Cause the same work they do

When Exams Are Over

These books will be shut,
No more cramming
For the compulsory part,
Nor gambling
With the multiple choice.
This late night reading
And relapsing exam fever
Will all take a leave.

Even that tension
That creeps with the scripts
Or that last minute sigh
Which takes over,
When an examiner says,
"Pens up! Down!"
Will definitely vanish.

Then the chance comes again,
To visit that welcoming field
And play all sorts of games,
Or stroll round the school
And while away the time.
Even my bed will know me better
When exams are over.

Ode to the Sun

Sumptously placed in the sky
Unique in the universe
Naturally positioned above the tropics
See how powerful you are:
You liquify napalm in seconds,
You burn fields without naphta,
You control the content of rainguages,
You determine the length of day and night.
How I wish I was your duplicate
So powerful that my ancestors worship thee
Yet, they can't look into your eyes
They can't stop thy nefarious asunder of landform
They still experience drought and famine at large
And forever will they bear the pain f rom thy stroke
Necromancers say you'll fade off a day to come
They've forgotten that,
The rainmaker will remain forever
The ultimate source of energy
Will live to see the end of man.

As long as I live ...

As long as I live,
I will always breath.
My ribs, nose and lungs
Will be at work
To give me energy to move.

For as long as I breath,
I will always move.
I,ll move from place to place
And see things of ectasy
In shops along the busy streets.

For as long as I move,
I will always see.
I will see much in the day
And dream more at night;
Dream from thoughts of things I saw.

For as long as I see,
I will always think.
I will always think of things.
Things to do, to say and eat
'cause a wise man I am.

For as long as I think,
I will alwqays feed.
I will always feed on things.
Things like rice, beans and cakes,
Thay all make me grow.

For as long as I eat,
I will always grow.
I grew from zygote to embryo,
Embryo to baby, and on I grow
Till I'm old enough to die.

Ping Pong

Up and down,
To anf fro,
He moves all about;
He jumps all around,
At the stroke of the bat!

Just like a cat
Pouncing on a rat.
Only stable
When off the table.
Only to rest
Before the next set.
